About these reviews

This widget displays real customer reviews curated by Laudiva, a third-party review platform.

The FTC Consumer Reviews Rule

The FTC's 2024 Consumer Reviews Rule (16 CFR Part 465) prohibits materially misrepresenting that displayed reviews represent most or all of the reviews submitted to a website or platform when reviews have been suppressed based on their rating or sentiment. Laudiva never filters reviews by star rating. Whether a business meets the rule depends on that business's own conduct.

How reviews are selected

How a widget orders its reviews depends on how the business set it up. Some rank by a relevance score that blends AI-assessed helpfulness — specificity, detail and authenticity, not how positive a review is — with how recent the review is, and adjusts it for where the review came from: reviews collected directly by the business through Laudiva count slightly less than reviews published on an independent platform such as Google. Others show the newest reviews first, or the highest-rated first; in those modes the date or the rating decides the order, and the relevance score only separates reviews that would otherwise tie. Widgets that carry the disclosure line name the ordering they used directly beneath their reviews. Each widget shows a limited number of reviews, and a business on any plan can pin reviews to the top.

Where a widget ranks by the relevance score, each page also follows the star mix of the reviews the widget holds (a set limited by the business's plan): within each star level, reviews are ordered by relevance, and the star levels are mixed in proportion to their share of those reviews. A page therefore reflects that mix of ratings, and the order never sets negative reviews aside. Reviews the business pins lead the default order, and come last when a visitor reverses it.

Are these all the reviews?

No. The widget shows a curated subset. You can see all reviews for this business on Google.

What does the business control?

The business controls the widget's appearance — colors, layout and display limit — chooses how its reviews are ordered, and on any plan can pin reviews to the top. They cannot add fake reviews, remove real negative reviews, or alter review content displayed in this widget.

Is this your business?

Laudiva makes it easy for any local business to display authentic reviews without filtering them by star rating.
